Why The Portability of Motorola’s two Way Is Radios an Asset to the Business

Two way radios have become a commonly used solution in modern business operations as companies have sought to address their internal communication needs. These devices are commonly used in a number of scenarios such as for the security team to coordinate their operations, or in a retail environment. They are also used by the internal store staff to ensure that vertical and horizontal communication is done effectively.

The versatile nature of these devices is an asset to the company in a number of ways. However, the true advantage of these radios lies in their portability. Few people ever think about why Motorola portable radios are so popular with business owners and store managers. The reason for this lies in the portability as they address a number of challenges that many companies face.

Why is the portability of handheld devices different from that of other devices?

The two way radios that are made for the business market are portable in a different way than you would say a laptop or mobile phone is portable. They have a limited range of portability within which they can remain useful. The reason for this is that these devices need to be connected to the high radio frequency network on which they operate.

This network is only available within a select and limited area. As a result, the devices can only be ported within this area while remaining useful. Furthermore, the devices are able to hold a charge for a limited time and must be brought back to the main station to be recharged for continued use.

How is this asset to a business?
Motorola portable radios have become a commonly sought after business device because they are only usable within a limited distance range. This being a limitation actually proves to be beneficial for businesses. First, this ensures that the devices are not useful to anyone who may try to remove them from the company premises as they will provide little use once out of range. This discourages petty thievery and larceny amongst employees and customers alike. Second, they can only be used within a certain range ensures that employees must stay within that range to be effectively looped into the communication.

This prevents employees from disappearing for extended periods of time while still managing to dodge the manager. Lastly, they enable vertical and horizontal communication between employees whose job descriptions necessitate constant movement within the company or business premises effectively.
